Candle Magic

Candle magic is one of the easiest forms of spell work. At it's most simple you light a candle with your intent in mind and sit with the candle visualizing the outcome you want. Stay with this until you feel finished, then extinguish the candle.

Choose the candle colour to match your intent, if you don't have the colour you want, use white as this can be used for all intentions.

It is a good idea to cleanse your candle before you start.

Some ways are:

Bury in sea salt for 24 hours

Put outside for 24 hours – any Moon phase

Wave cleansing incense or smudge over it with your hand or a feather

Be sure that your intent or wanted outcome is clear, be as specific as you can. Concentrate on this while you dress the candle with oils, herbs or both that will add to the intention. For example Love Oil or Banishing Oil.

If you want you can carve symbols or words into the candle.

You are now ready to light the candle and sit visualizing the outcome you desire. See it as you want it to be in completion.

When you feel ready you can extinguish the candle, with a snuffer or you can blow the intent into the universe. If the candle has not burnt down it can be used for the same spell, just visualize the intent again when relighting and repeat!

To increase the spells energy you could try burning herbs or incense that help towards your intent. Place a few relevant crystals around as well.

You can make your spell as simple or as complicated as you want. It is your spell and you cannot do it wrong!
